Our Launch Site

Whether you are paddling to Cabana Desolation Eco Resort or taking the company motor vessel option, guests start and finish their trip at our waterfront launch site and operations base in Penrose Bay, Okeover Inlet. We are located 30 minutes drive north of Powell River.

From this historic site it is an 8 nautical mile journey to the resort through Okeover and Malaspina Inlets, before crossing Desolation Sound to Kinghorn Island.

There is ample, secure parking on site for all our guests, and places to store extra luggage and valuables for the duration of your stay.
